My Super Bowl Sunday Menu

Super Bowl 2014

In case you’ve missed my latest posts of a few of my favorite party snacks, I decided to give all them to you in one place with a couple other recipes that are perfect for Super Bowl Sunday. If I were hosting a party this year, the featured recipes are what I would probably serve – including liquid dessert! Find pictures and descriptions below, along with the links to each recipe from the title and photos. Enjoy!

Spinach Artichoke Dip

This copycat recipe of my favorite Olive Garden dish is really great for a crowd. Prep it in advance and pop it in the oven just before everyone starts to arrive. So easy!

Sweet & Spicy Stuffed Peppers

These amazing little bites pack a ton of flavor! Creamy cheeses with a little spice from the pepper and the sweet tang of the balsamic glaze… Is your mouth watering yet? Like the dip recipe above, these can be filled ahead of time and warmed up just as your guests arrive.

Good Luck Mixed Bean Salad

For something healthier and in contrast to the cheesy goodness of the other two recipes, I really love this mixed bean salad. And, because of the addition of some black eyed peas, I’ve dubbed it Good Luck Mixed Bean Salad! Another make ahead dish, this salad is best after it’s been in the fridge overnight, or even a couple days. Serve it with crackers, pita chips, or even stand alone as a side salad.

Hot Veggie Subs with Caramelized Onions

Several months ago I made these delicious hot sandwiches with caramelized onions, and I think they would be perfect in halves or quarters for party guests to grab and munch on. Or, you could even have everyone choose from a variety of ingredients and then warm them in the oven to melt the cheese and toast the pretzel rolls.

Ha-Cha-Cha Hot Buttered Rum

Hot Buttered Rum-01725

For dessert – a sweet rum drink served hot that will stave off even the coldest Super Bowl temps! I first had it a restaurant for my birthday, and was astonished at how easy it was to make the spice mix for this drink. Once again, the prep work can be done the day before, or even further, and then just have everything on hand for when your guests are ready for a little dessert libation.

Let me know what you think!
